The LIV Golf Chicago is set to return on 13th September at the Bolingbrook Golf Club and continue until 15th September. It’s a professional tournament with an exorbitant amount of purse where the top players around the world will compete for the coveted payout. The LIV Golf Chicago both has an individual and a team format to it. A total of 58 players will take to the course for the 54-hole stroke play. As for the team setup four players make up a single team amounting to a total of thirteen teams partaking in the tournament.Â
For the first time the Bolingbrook course will hold the LIV Golf tournament. It will be the final event of the 2024 season for players to get into the top 24. The LIV Golf Chicago has a purse of $25,000,000 in total which is similar to the previous year’s purse. So no change in purse distribution is noticeable. The purse will be divided into two categories as the individual category will receive the $20,000,000 payout while in the team category it’s $5,000,000 for the competing teams.
As for the champion in the individual category, the golfer will receive a hefty sum of $4,000,000 payout. Followed by the champion we have the first runner up who will get $2,250,000 and the 3rd place winner earning $1,500,000.
