BMW International Open, a part of DP tour, started from July 24. While some golf stars are performing at the TPC Deere Run, others are playing in the BMW International Open for the trophy. The tournament will be offering more payouts than ever this year.
The tournament will be played in four rounds. A cut of 70 players will be made after the second day. As per today, the first two round of the tournament are over. Ewen Ferguson is holding the first position after two rounds of play with a -13 score. French golfer Romain Langasque is holding the T2 position with -11 points.
Golf Channel will telecast all four rounds of the tournament. The first two rounds will start at 6.30 am, while the second two rounds will start at 7.30 am on TV.
Increment in BMW International Open Purse:
In 2024, the total prize money for the BMW International Open is $2.5 million. In 2023, the prize pool for the tournament was $2 Million. So, this year, there has been an increment of $500,00k in the fund.
There has been a change in the total payouts of the tournament. Like, the winner of the BMW International Open 2024 will earn a total of $425,000. Thurston Lawrence won the tournament back in 2023. He took $340,000 as the winning prize.
The player standing second will receive $275,000, while the player in the third position will get a total of $157,500. The 70th-ranked player will take $4,750 home. So, players of every position will receive more payouts than the previous year.
